Dish Network to Reach 100 HD Channels August 1

Great news for Dish Network and High Def fans alike! Despite some early setbacks with their first satellite launch earlier this year, Dish Network will reached their goal of 100 HD channels by year's end way ahead of schedule. Yesterday, they announced the addition of 17 HD channels on August 1, which will bring the overall total up to 100.

The HD channels to be added are:

ActionMax HD - Channel 313
CBS College Sports HD - Channel 152
Lifetime HD - Channel 108
Lifetime Movie Network - Channel 108
Planet Green HD - Channel 194
Encore HD - Channel 340
HBO 2 HD - Channel 301
HBO Comedy HD - Channel 307
HBO Family HD - Channel 305
HBO Latino HD - Channel 309
HBO Signature HD - Channel 302
HBO West HD - Channel 303
HBO Zone HD - Channel 308
Starz Comedy HD - Channel 354
Starz Edge HD - Channel 352
Starz Kids & Family HD - Channel 356
Starz West HD - Channel 351

That's fine, but it has come at the expense of VOOM HD channels.
