Dish Network Launches 17 New HD Channels

High Definition enthusiasts need to look no further than Dish Network for the very best in HD! August 1, 2008, the TV provider launched 17 more channels, which brings their total up to 114 national HD channels. Better yet, they plan to reach 150 channels by the end of 2008 thanks to the successful launch of Echo XI - the most powerful satellite in their fleet.

Here's a rundown of the new High Def channels. In order to receive the HD channels, you must subscribe to qualifying HD programming and have a High Definition television:
ActionMax HD - Action and adventure 24/7. Features everything from westerns, to war movies, to martial arts, to popular imports.

CBS College Sports HD - Features college football, basketball and baseball.
