Dish Network Leads the Pack in Picture Quality with MPEG-4

Dish Network recently became the first pay-TV provider to transmit all standard and high definition programming in the MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding Standard. What this means for Dish Network customers is that when you sign up to receive thier award-winning MPEG-4 HD and HD DVR receivers, you'll get to witness the most advanced technology in the industry bringing you the best picture quality available. Currently, Dish Network plans to roll the all-MPEG-4 offer out to 21 markets on the east coast with additional markets to be announced at a later date.

The 21 markets include:
Cleveland, OH; Richmond, VA; Baltimore, MD; Columbia, S.C.; Tampa, FL; Green Bay, Wis; Greensboro, N.C.; Providence, R.I.; Greenville, S.C.; Knoxville, TN; Raleigh, N.C.; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas, TX; Nashville, TN; Minneapolis, MN; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, D.C.; New York, NY; and Hartford, CN.
